Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my project take to complete?

That will depend on your project’s scope and booking availability. As a fast and loose guide, it usually takes around 6-8 weeks to complete a custom photography project.

How do I get my products to you?

Products can be delivered to us through a postal service or courier of your choice. Please ensure your products are packaged well to ensure they are in good condition for the shoot. Please not that any breakages or defects to products in transit may push out the timeline of your shoot.

What happens to my products after they have been photographed?

If you have specified that you would like to have your products returned, we will post the products back to you (at your cost) once your images have been downloaded. Due to limited space, we are unable to store extra products for long periods of time. Your product will remain in the studio for 10 business days from the date of the photoshoot. If you do no want the product returned, products will either be donated, recycled or disposed of thoughtfully.

Do you provide Clients with the raw camera files?

Ahhh. The most common question us creatives often get asked! Unfortunately not. We do not consider the raw files to be a reflection of our finished images. Giving out these files is not a service that we offer.

Do I own the copyright to the images you’ve created for me?

We provide an unlimited online digital platform usage licence for every image we produce. Should you require the use of these images on mass media platforms (TV, Advertising, POS, Print, Billboards etc) or anywhere else (eg. Providing them to a 3rd party) Additional licensing feeds will be quoted additionally. All images and assets that are created by us are owned by Hot Chip Studio.
